The day I met my Shadow!

"Man's best friend"! This story is about a border collie puppy abandoned in a gutter on the side of the road. Left there not thinking or even caring what happened to the puppy! This puppy was a lucky for he was found and brought into foster care and lived with 15 other dogs. Or at least until one day when a family from hours away that been looking for a dog for over a year and had seen his picture on the internet and had fallen in love! When they arrived he cowered under a chair the whole time, but the family still wanted him. So the next day the foster parents drove the dog down to Colombia to check out their house to make sure it was a safe environment to live in. After deciding that it was beyond acceptable -- it was perfect for this dog, they left. After saying goodbye to the foster parents they went back into the backyard to find the dog. But, the dog was nowhere to be found! Just then they heard barking down the road and the puppy came running back down the street. But that is not the end, NO, this dog would not eat it was now the third day he had been there, the family was getting worried until one of the little kids name Patrick slipped a cracker with peanut butter on it to the puppy and immeditaly this dog warmed up to the family and would not leave Patrick's side for days until he learn that all of them were his friends! Now this dog (Shadow named after how he acts!) is about 4 years old and is a great dog and loves to be outside, well as long as there isn't any water!
