One large adoption! My husband and I were shopping at PetSmart and we saw the largest cat we had ever seen in one of the cages. I insisted to my husband that I had to hold him. As soon as I took this giant fluff (21 lbs and over 3 ft long from nose to tip of tail)into my arms, he looked up at me with the saddest, yellow kitten eyes he could muster and started purring like and old motorboat. The caretaker who was cleaning the cages informed us that Pepper had been homeless now for over two months because his elderly owner became ill and could not care for him, but no one really wanted to adopt him because he was already 9-years old. I was a little hesitant about adopting Pepper because we didn't know how well our 11-month old kitten and 3-year old cat would react. We ended up bringing Pepper home two days later. We had a lot of hissing and growling from opposite sides of the office door for about 6-weeks, but soon all the cats were getting along just fine. Over the next few months the kitten and Pepper became best buddies who sleep together and groom each other and play together all the time. They are inseperable. To top it off, Pepper is the most loving and affectionate cat we have ever seen. He adores being held and cuddled and petted. As much attention as you give him leaves him begging for more and he never seems to mind a few tears in his fur. Adopting Pepper was one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made.
