 One October, my husband and our 10-yr old Rottie, Panda, went to PetSmart and looked at a mixed-breed pup named Secret. After Panda declared Secret as her puppy, they brought her home and into our lives as an early birthday present for me.
Sadly, 2 months later, our beloved Panda passed away... but not before instilling into Secret her knowledge. I tell Seek every now and then that 'Moma Panda' will be so proud of her, and she'll look at me with those big, brown, wide eyes and will jump up and 'hug' me, as if to say, "Thank you Mama!"
Since Panda passed, Secret has taken on the roll of 'head-puppy' and has taught her younger sister (Hope) and brother (Junior) the rules of the house! She's an excellent daughter and a wonderful big sister!
I'm thankful for the PetSmart Charities in my area, for without them... I wouldn't have received the best birthday gift in the world... SECRET!! She's a Mama's Girl and I love her so very much!
