For the love of puppy.

About a year ago we went to the Humane Society to get my 2 year old son who was turning 3 that April a puppy. His father and I thought that having a puppy to grow with our son would be a good idea, plus it would give our other rescued dog, Candy, who was turning 9 years old, some company. We saw so many dogs that day, but when we came across Sandy we asked to see her. They put us all in a room together and she just took to us right away. The problem was that we needed to get a paper from home so that they would approve the adoption and we lived 45 minutes away and they were going to close in an hour. We just couldn't leave without her, so we rushed home and got the paper and back again to the shelter. We got there one minute before they closed and she was ours. She is now 1-year and 2 months old and she is so very happy here with all of us.
