The Real "Full House"

The Real My husband and I knew from the moment we got together that once we had a house, we wanted to adopt a dog. I grew up with Labs, and have always been very comfortable around "big dogs." In the fall of 2005, we adopted Chelsea from the Stockton Animal Shelter (we found her two weeks before we moved into our new house, so it was a crowded start for her in our little apartment!) but we knew right away she had found her forever home. We talked often after that about adopting a "sibling" for her, but didn't think we were financially ready. However, in July, we met Tanner (another shelter resident), and that was the end of that...

Not two months later, while we were in PetSmart training with the other two, we saw Sydney in the adoption center. The woman told us he had been in the shelter for 5 months, and no one had wanted to adopt him thus far. Needless to say, we came home with another one that day...

All of them live "the good life", with more food than one should ever need, a mountain of toys to fight over, and more love to give than I could have ever imagined. My husband and I feel incredibly blessed that we were able to change the lives of these animals, who are now forever each a member of the family. However, they are always up to the challenge of making life more interesting, especially while we work with ALL 3 of them now in the PetSmart training center!!!
