Joy in Our Lives
<<BACK

Joy in Our LivesWe currently have 5 cats. Three of which we adopted through our local Petsmart store. The first was a tiny little girl who we named Cammie, affectionately called "Goddess Camilia" and she knows it! She is part siamese and very regal. We have had her in our family for over 7 years. The second two are sisters, Wilma Josephine and Edna Lousie. They have been with us for 3 years. They may be sisters, but they certainly do not get along with each other! Quite a challenge. Our oldest is Lord Simon at 9 and a half, we rescued him from a couple of dogs trying to eat him. My mom got her finger chomped on by the little guy as we were saving him. He was so tiny and filthy and we did not know his gender until we took him to our favorite vet for a complete check up. The nurse came out to the waiting room and announced to us and the whole room that we have a boy! That was so very special. Our fifth adoption is our little Rohna Begonia. She is a politician and loves nearly everyone and is the first to see who is at the door. She is our doorbell. When someone pulls up in the drive, she grrrs if she does not recognize the car. Those she does recognize, she greets them at the door. She was adopted 5 and a half years ago from a lady who volunteers to rescure cats and cares for them at her home until she finds them homes. If I could I would adopt every abandoned cat I found. I just do not have a house big enough! Each experience with our cats and those of our friends has certainly brought us much Joy in Our Lives.
