Tuxedo Cat Came Dressed For The Wedding!

A few months before I got married this summer, I laid eyes on PollyAnna: a scared, lonely tuxedo cat who was found pregnant and alone on the streets of one of the most dangerous cities in America. Her left eye was damaged and she was so scared that no one had even seen her stand up in her crate. She was easily the most pathetic looking critter I had ever seen. I had to fly back home (2,000 miles) after spending a few afternoons at the PetSmart trying to get her to at least purr. I was sick over this cat... so worried that she would be continually overlooked because of her damaged eye and her depression. I gave my mom (who lives in that area) the responsibility of checking up on PollyAnna every chance she got, and was determined that if she was still not adopted by our wedding, she was coming home with me. Two months came and went, and it was time to get married, but Polly wasn't there! I was frantic until I realized that my little brother and mom had adopted her for us! Hands down the best wedding present we could ever have hoped for, and the resident cat was just as thrilled for a companion! We joke that since she is a tuxedo cat, she was all dressed up and ready to go.
