I canI just want to thank Petsmart and the Adopt A Stray foundation in Cincinnati Ohio. I had adopted my first cat Maynard from a farm. He was such a joy when he was a kitten but seemed bored. I started thinking of adopting another cat, but I had to be a bit choosy because I had already had a cat, and needed one that got along with other cats.

One day in March,I was in Petsmart getting cat food and litter, and I decided to take a look at the animals up for adoption. I had no intention of bringing home another kitten but I saw this scrawny little black and white kitten, no more than 8 weeks old. I thought it was very odd that there was a kitten in the middle of March since kitten season is in the summer time.

Immediately, I picked him up and he just took to me. It took me no more than five minutes to decide he was coming home with me. I decided to name him Joxer. When we got home, he and Maynard immediately bonded. They have been inseparable since.

The most amazing thing to this story is that I had not met my husband yet, but happened to meet him three months after I had adopted Joxer. My husband and that cat bonded immediately. I believe that fate had a part in Joxer and I finding each other and that Joxer was meant to be my husband's cat all along.

Joxer is such a joy. He loves EVERYONE and is the most loving and cutest thing ever. He constantly lays on your lap, and purrs as loud as a lawnmower. He follows my husband everywhere, and even sleeps on him at night. Joxer is so content and happy with his life. I thank Adopt a Stray and Petsmart daily for such a wonderful addition to our family. This was the best spur of the moment decision I have ever made.
