A Shaky Beginning and a Wonderful Friend
<<BACK

A Shaky Beginning and a Wonderful FriendWe adopted our cat Kara from Show Me Pets in the Sunset Hills Petsmart in September of 2004. The staff at Petsmart said she'd been up for adoption for almost a year. I couldn't imagine why--she was so sweet! So we decided to adopt her, and found out why.

Kara suffers from frequent urinary tract infections. Just a few days after bringing her home, she began peeing all over our house. We took her to the vet and things cleared up for a little while but then reoccured. With her peeing all over our house, we weren't sure if we could keep her. That's what her previous owners probably thought too.

About that time I fell into a position at a vet's office that specializes in cats. I took her to the new vet, and they treated her properly. Her problems cleared up, and now she's on a maintenance regimen to keep the problems from coming back, and she hasn't had a reoccurance in over a year.

Kara is the most loving cat on earth. She's so sweet, and I think something drew us together, knowing I'd be able to help her, and she be a loving friend for me. I don't regret it for a minute.
