If your community is planning a low-cost, high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinic, please contact canadiangrants@petsmartcharities.org for equipment grant guidelines and applications. Otherwise, all available PetSmart Charities® of Canada grant funds for 2009 have been expended.
Please visit this site after December 1, 2009 for details about 2010 Canadian funding. At that time, new grant applications and guidelines will be available for the following categories:
- Targeted community spay/neuter programs
- Pre-adoption spay/neuter programs
- Spay/neuter for free-roaming cats (TNR programs)
- Equipment grants for low-cost, high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter clinics (minimum of 5,000 surgeries the first year)
Each of these categories has a unique grant application, designed to ask the questions specific to that kind of program. Your agency may submit one application each year.
We have very limited funding available for each province, and the competition is high. Applications should be submitted before June 1, 2010. We will evaluate all Canadian applications during June and July, reviewing them to determine the best way to use our grant funds for the greatest impact on the homeless pets of Canada. |
