that save the lives of homeless pets. PetSmart Charities® funds spay/neuter
initiatives and other innovative new programs that use technology, creativity
and compassion to reduce homeless pet overpopulation.
PetSmart Charities receives the highest rating of four stars from Charity Navigator because we manage our finances in a highly efficient and effective manner. In 2008, 89 cents of every dollar raised by PetSmart Charities went to the more than 3,000 animal welfare agencies we support.

funding adoption rewards to animal welfare agencies for adoptions,
or grants for emergency relief, spay/neuter programs and capacity

their immediate needs for food and supplies during natural disasters
(i.e. hurricanes, floods and fires) as well as man-made disasters

Just a Buck, Change Their Luck is our twice-annual general fundraising campaign
held in all U.S. and Canadian PetSmart retail stores and online. During this
campaign, donors who contribute at certain levels receive gifts with collectible

Support the operation of our transport program which picks up dogs
from overcrowded shelters in the Midwest, Northeast and Great Plains
and safely delivers them to shelters with a need for more adoptable
dogs. The program also provides supportive spay/neuter grants to
