The Spay & Neuter Clinic of Southern Pines Animal Shelter Receives $45,460 - The Spay & Neuter Clinic of Southern Pines Animal Shelter received $45,460 from PetSmart Charities® for a second year of funding to increase its number of spay/neuter surgeries for Forrest County residents.
A Second $71,000 PetSmart Charities® Grant to Benefit Spartanburg Cats - The Spartanburg Humane Society (SHS) has extended its sale on feline spay and neuter surgeries thanks to a second $71,000 grant from PetSmart Charities®. The grant will allow an additional 2,011 Spartanburg cats and kittens as young as 8 weeks old to be spayed or neutered at the SHS Veterinary Clinic for just $15 (or $5 for low income residents).
The Humane Society of Weld County Receives Grant from PetSmart Charities® to Sterilize 500 Pit Bulls - The Humane Society of Weld County received a $19,385 grant from PetSmart Charities® to spay/neuter 500 Pit Bulls and Pit Bull mixes in Weld County. The organization’s pet sterilization program successfully alters more than 2,000 pets per year on average to proactively fight the area’s homeless-pet overpopulation.
Making Grant Funding Work: Greenhill Humane Society’s TNR Program - The Greenhill Humane Society in Eugene, Ore. is improving the lives of homeless cats and kittens in their community through a successful trap-neuter-return (TNR) program.-
Newport News Animal Services Receives a $95,465 Grant from PetSmart Charities® for Feral Cat Program Outreach and Services - The grant comprises funds totaling $95,465 to be distributed to the City of Newport News over two years for the purposes of providing equipment, outreach materials, and spay/neuter surgeries in promoting TNVR (Trap Neuter, Vaccinate and Return) and assisting registered feral cat colonies established in compliance with Section 6-53 of the City code.
