Conference Sponsorship Grants
We believe in professionalizing the field of animal welfare. One way we help North American animal agencies achieve their goals is to offer conference sponsorship funding.
Availability and Qualifications
Our conference sponsorship grants are available to organizers of national, regional, or statewide training conferences, although funding each year is limited.
- Conference sponsorships are available to non-profit, municipal or tribal organizations in the United States and Canada that organize or host training events for the animal welfare community. We are not able to provide funding to help individuals attend conferences.
- We give priority to training opportunities which focus on the issues of caring for homeless pets, spay/neuter, pet adoptions, animal non-profit management, and other topics that assist animal welfare agencies with their primary work.
- Apply at least three months before the conference date. We accept sponsorship requests throughout the year, but those we receive early in the year will have a better chance for funding.
- We are not able to provide sponsorships to assist with fundraising events, nor can we donate items or goods.
How to Apply
Please submit all conference sponsorship requests online.
What you will need to apply online:
- Name of conference or training event.
- Name of non-profit, municipal or tribal agency that is organizing or hosting the event.
- Name of the organization that will receive the grant funds, if it's different than the organizer or host.
- Tax identifcation number for the organization that will receive the funds.
- Date and location of event.
- Target audience or interest groups(s) that will attend and their geographic range.
- Number of participants expected to attend and attendance from previous year.
- Please indicate if there is an opportunity for PetSmart Charities to present a workshop.
- Any information about levels of sponsorship and what benefits may be included.
- All sponsorship documents will need to be uploaded as part of the online application process, in the "additional relevant documents" section.
