PetSmart Charities is an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that creates and supports programs that save the lives of homeless pets, raise awareness of companion animal welfare issues and promote healthy relationships between people and pets through: Adoption; Spay/neuter initiatives; Emergency relief programs; and our Rescue Waggin'® program.

We are the largest funder of animal-welfare efforts in North America. We have provided $134 million in grants and programs benefiting animal-welfare organizations and have helped save the lives of more than 5 million pets through our PetSmart Charities® Adoption Centers located inside every PetSmart® store.

Only half of the 8 million homeless pets in shelters are adopted every year. The rest are euthanized at a rate of about 11,000 per day. PetSmart Charities® saves the lives of pets who need lifelong, loving homes, in an effort to solve the homeless pet problem for good.

Proposals will be evaluated and a response provided within two weeks of receipt.
