Welcome PetSmart® Associate!

You already know about the issues of pet homelessness. You’re already working to help save lives. In fact, to date you’ve helped us save more than 4.4 million pets since 1994 through the PetSmart Charities® Adoption Centers in each PetSmart® store.

Now, we can do even more. Today, between six and eight million pets enter shelters annually and, of those, about half – or 11,000 pets each day – will be euthanized. PetSmart Charities has created a campaign called People Saving Pets™ that has the power to help save those pets.

Like the push to replace plastic bags with reusable ones, our campaign is designed to fundamentally change how people think about the issue of homeless pets and to inspire people who love pets to take action.

Acting together, we can find lifelong loving homes for each and every one of those adoptable. That’s a big goal. But it’s absolutely doable – if we come together.

Getting involved is easy. Here's how:

Join the Movement - If you haven't already, join the movement to make a difference and to get People Saving Pets news, updates and special information.

Adopt - Promote the importance of opting to adopt to family, friends and customers; encourage them to visit a PetSmart Charities Adoption Center or use the Adoptable Pets Locator empowered by Adopt-a-Pet.com to help find adoptable pets.

Spay/Neuter - Spaying and neutering helps pets live longer, healthier, happier lives. And, it helps prevent new litters of pets from coming into the world without a place to call home. Encourage family, friends and customers to use the Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Programs locator empowered by PetSmart Charities and the ASPCA® to find local organizations offering affordable spay/neuter services.

Volunteer - Find a variety of volunteer opportunities near you – from providing play time for pets in shelters to helping out at adoption events to becoming a foster pet parent.

Share - Because there is power in numbers, we built an online community for people to connect with other people interested in the People Saving Pets movement.

Donate - Directly support People Saving Pets partner animal welfare organizations in your area or donate to PetSmart Charities to further empower the People Saving Pets movement and other initiatives that help save the lives of homeless pets.
