Volunteer Action Day

Did you know that 97% of animal welfare organizations utilize volunteers? These volunteers help keep administrative costs down, allowing the organizations to use funds toward the care of the adoptable pets — to include providing spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, food and so much more.

On Wednesday, April 18, in conjunction with National Volunteer Week (Apr. 15-21, 2012), the People Saving Pets™ social movement is celebrating Volunteer Action Day! Our goal for Volunteer Action Day is simple: We want you to take the first step toward helping your local animal welfare organization by learning about available opportunities in your area and signing up for a volunteer opportunity.
