Dawn - The 50,000th Dog to Ride a PetSmart Charities® Rescue Waggin'® Vehicle

Dawn, a beautiful, Golden Retriever, is a gentle soul who is full of love and well mannered. Offered as a “gift,” her family relinquished her after less than six months. But the family said Dawn had been a faithful dog who loved playing with children, going on walks, and enjoying family life.

Today, Dawn took the ride of her life by becoming the 50,000th dog to be transported on a PetSmart Charities Rescue Waggin' vehicle!

 
The milestone transport started at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter & Humane Society in New Mexico and ended at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley in Colorado. Boulder Valley Humane Society was the second receiving shelter to join the Rescue Waggin' program. Both shelters have seen decreased euthanasia rates and increased adoption rates as a result of being Rescue Waggin' partners.

Dawn is looking for her lifelong, loving home and is available for adoption at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. Stay tuned to this page for more details about this milestone occasion.
