Reducing/Preventing Shelter Surrenders by Starting an Animal Help Desk
Nevada Humane Society launched their animal help desk in 2007 and has since seen a consistent decline in animals surrendered to the shelter. It just shows that even in tough economic times, when some communities are seeing double digit increases in incoming pets, that it is possible to actually reduce the number of animals in need of sheltering.
Through the help desk free advice is offered on behavior modification, training, general health care and spay/neuter information. The truth is that many situations can be resolved in a manner that will help keep the animals out of the shelters.
This webinar focuses on how providing a free "Animal Help Desk" could help decrease the number of pets coming into YOUR shelter.
