Grant aims to spay/neuter 10,000 puppies and kittens in June 2013 - Approximately 34% of dogs and cats in U.S. households are not spayed or neutered, yet the procedure is one of the most effective ways to prevent the birth of unplanned pets.
"Primp Your Pit" this August with a low-cost spay/neuter surgery - PetSmart Charities pledged $1 million in 2012 to fund a new spay/neuter program targeting cats and pit bull terriers during specific times of the year.
The HSUS and PetSmart Charities® Offer Toolkit to Help Animals in Under-Served Communities - The HSUS debuted the Pets for Life Outreach Toolkit, which is funded by PetSmart Charities® and is based on the lessons learned from work in communities in Philadelphia, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles and other locations.
