Phoenix Rising: Grant Offers Hope for Homeless Pets in Maricopa County

Many say that the Phoenix metro area is the 2nd worst place for pet homelessness in the U.S. In 2012, 90,000 pets entered the area's shelters. Every day 100 pets found new homes, but another 100 pets were euthanized. Those numbers didn't sit well with the community.

Watch how Phoenix's animal welfare groups worked together to reduce euthanasia by 14% in just 1 year.
