For 20 years, Deb Turcott has been investing her strategic leadership skills in nonprofit and public sectors.  Her most recent position, Chief Operating Officer of the Shelter Medicine Program at the University of Florida, offered Deb the opportunity to impact animal welfare and sheltering at a global level as the program’s senior executive.  Prior to that, Deb has served in other executive level roles for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System, New Hampshire Land and Community Heritage Investment Program, Upper Valley Humane Society, and NH Community Development Finance Authority. 

In addition, for the past thirteen years, Deb has served as an independent consultant across the country for nonprofits and for-profit organizations focusing on strategic organizational development, board leadership, and executive transitions with a particular draw for organizations who seek profound change to influence their mission or bottom line.

As a long time animal welfare advocate, Deb has also specialized in disaster preparedness and response for companion and large animals as well as field investigations and response for animal cruelty situations.  She and her husband, Dave, have four college-aged kids, three horses, two mini donkeys, two dogs and a barn cat.
