The lucky 7 millionth pet Daisy, a 1-year-old Fox Terrier-Fox Hound mix, and her family flew all the way from Staten Island, New York to Phoenix, Arizona where they joined PetSmart Charities President David Haworth, DVM, PhD, and Arizona Diamondbacks Chief Baseball Officer Tony La Russa on the field for a pre-game presentation.  Daisy and family were treated to seats in a PetSmart Patio Doggie Suite where they enjoyed food, PetSmart toys and a great view of the Arizona Diamondbacks’ win against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

PetSmart Charities Sept National Adoption Weekend dog adoptionsDaisy was adopted in mid-August by Angela and Brad McKenzie who spotted her on the website for Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue in Staten Island.  Both serve in the US Coast Guard and are parents to Jack, Henry and a 7-year-old Great Dane mix named Sabrina.
